“Humble” Word Study: Proverbs 3:34

A Biblical word study in ESV. May God grant me the endurance to see this study carried out.

Proverbs 3:34 – “Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor.”

Dictionary.com defines “scorn” using the words “contempt,” “disdain,” and “derision.” MacArthur commentary for Proverbs 3:34: “Humble.” Lit., “he who bends himself” (James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5).
